Ain Saadeh: Political Posts Got 4.6× More Engagement

Political posts represented only a small share of posts about the Ain Saadeh incident on X, but they received far higher engagement than other types of content.

After the Ain Saadeh incident on April 5, discussion spread rapidly on X. An analysis of 1,866 posts from 842 accounts shows that while strike claims dominated the conversation by volume, political posts generated much higher engagement per post.

Strike claims made up the largest share of posts, but political posts received far more attention relative to how often they were posted.
